Coaching For Individuals

Individual Career Coaching and Guidance
Three to seven sessions incorporating assessments and feedback reports are structured to form a well–rounded and outcome orientated process.

The programmes are tailored to suit each individual and could be 3–6 one-hour sessions depending on their situation and desired outcome. Included would be all or some of the following:

  1. An initial session to explore status of career, personal insights and issues and to establish a programme to suit career exploration needs.
  2. Personality profiling - by completing the MBTI questionnaire on-line and have individual feedback appropriate to their developmental stage and style.
  3. An exploration of career drivers and interests, personal values and achievements to establish strengths.
  4. Creating a Gap analysis between ‘desired’ state and ‘current experience’ from a whole-of-life perspective from which to establish development goals.
  5. Synthesising learning and insights and clarifying goals and steps.

Professional Review

The Professional Review is the perfect process for busy senior level people in work and for those whose roles have been disestablished through organisational restructuring. It offers a reflective forum in which to review your life and career and make provision for what is ahead.  A structured two hour session gives space to reviewing the past, looking at the present and planning for the future. If you wish, the dialogue can be recorded and summarised during the process for you to reflect on. Follow up sessions are recommended.

Transition Mentoring

When people move into new roles and increased responsibilities they typically experience a major and sometimes unnerving adjustment. Mentoring support during the first 4-6 months significantly enhances adjustment success.

Along the way self development and self-awareness is improved and older habitual adjustment behaviours dispelled. e.g. Overworking, low confidence, relationship conflict.
Having highly confidential, one on one support empowers the participant to adjust gradually, enhance performance and develop productive relationships quickly.

Coaching for performance

Builds understanding of job strengths, personality fit, aspirations and values to find better congruence, job alignment and workplace effectiveness. The process can include content similar to the individual career coaching modules such as Personality Profiling and the outcome focus provides opportunities for the participant to synthesise their learning, to make decisions for moving forward and to clarify their development goals.

On-going coaching for improved work performance focuses on utilising self-knowledge gained in the process by applying to work situations and creating and achieving objectives. My approach when working with someone is to keep them present to what they are learning about themselves in relationship to work, and what they still need to develop in a supportive and empowering way. This builds personal responsibility and integrates a mindful approach to developing effectiveness at work. Check out 'My Approach to coaching'

Coaching for Career Sustainability

Ongoing coaching is extremely valuable for individuals who wish to maintain their career focus when circumstances make this difficult. This can be about keeping an even keel whilst navigating organisational change, managing a project outside of their normal career focus, taking on a senior role or gaining credibility and profile when taking on a new career.
